And Baby Makes 3 for Mariska Hargitay

Award-winning actress and star of "Law and Order: SVU" Mariska Hargitay welcome another new baby to their home. Hargitay and husband Peter Hermann decided to get a head start on adopting their third child after the process of adding Amaya took a year. But babies just never come exactly when you expect them too, even for celebrity stars.

After filing over the summer to adopt another child, the couple found that the second time round adoption does get easier. Andrew Nicolas Hargitay Hermannwas born prematurely, but the timing must have been just right as the couple brought their son home just days after completing the adoption paperwork.

"It was all very quick. It was a week that changed our lives," Hargitay - whose celebrity status was not revealed in her paperwork - notes. "We're still in shock. What did we do to get so lucky?" It helped greatly that their application for adoption was already on file from their efforts to adopt Amaya.

"We never in a million year thought it would happen this quickly, but something inside of us knew that this was right, and we said, 'Yes, yes, yes!" the Law and Order: SVU actress tells People. "We knew this was our guy. Everything about it felt right. It felt divinely right."

Now she encounters yet another problem familiar to many parents. Just when she got rid of all of 5 yar old August's baby gear and clothing to her godson (Could this be Eliot Stabler's son?) so it looks like some big time baby shopping is in order. However, Andrew does have his own burgundy and gold room, after laying claim to Mommy Mariska's office.

Mariska reported that Amaya was very "soothing." It's a good thing, because as I know with two babies under the age of two in the house parents need all the soothing they can get.

What does all this mean for "Law and Order: SVU" fans? Nothing much has changed. Expect Hargitay to still be in every episode but with all the new interactions between the partners and the squad she will continue on in a more supportive as opposed to starring role.

I guess things are looking more than "A-Okay" now that Hargitay and husband Hermann, has August, Amaya and Andrew. Will there be a baby makes four or more in the future for this 47 year old actress?
