And Now the Truth

greg skidmore
The truth is that this country is being run by a clueless aristocracy, the illegitimate child of capitalism gone wrong. Adam Smith's invisible hand has been lopped off and even old Greenspan admits that markets don't work. Money is power, it buys influence, corrupts and controls with the singular goal of more. Souls are bought and sold for a pittance. Men turn mean for a few shekels and abuse their paltry powers like the overseers of plantation days. The majority feels powerless and fearful like beaten field hands. Half the population happily buys lies. One party has their hands out and the other is bought and sold.

The kingpins ruin the economy and get wealthier doing it, then depress the work force to make a point. We are in charge. Not one rat bastard has been charged with a crime. At least the Chinese would take the most corrupt out and shoot them. We increase their bonuses.

A donkey like John Boehner blubbers when he talks about the American dream and he sold out for cigarettes, a good tan and a quiet round of golf. Barry isn't much better. Tell the truth, make a stand. So be it if the bastards cut you down. Good men can only take so much and good men are legion. Things could get messy.

It is natural for the repressed to rise up. Americans talk about taking it back but you can't have what you've given away. It's not enough to just ask for more. Excess has made us fat, lazy and stupid. It's easy for the rich to rob a compliant and complacent citizenry. We are in the shit, deep. When truth becomes so compromised that leadership is impossible either the mob rules or a demigod emerges.

Reality is stark and simple. Heroism abounds, goodness is everywhere, nature provides but we are lost in a maelstrom, our words are babble and our selfish scramble takes down the lovers, neighbors and friends that we should save.
