A tiny, shimmering, green blur,
A pulsing glimmer, a flash of light,
Its wings vibrating in a whir,

Its wings vibrating in a whir,
My heart swells as it's lost in flight.

Post a CommentI too love humming birds and hold my breath in awe whenever I am lucky enough to see one!
I had hummingbirds where I used to live, and miss those beautiful blurs of color. Thanks for the memories that this conjured up.
Very beautiful indeed! Nice job!
