And We're Off- the 2012 Presidential Clown Show is Up & Running

Lies, False Promises, Rhetoric and Hours of Drama TV

Rose Richmond
It just seems as though we just finished an election. Oh wait, we did. It was only a minute before that we had the last Presidential elections. Now, here we go again! Will there be any change this time or cooperation? NO! I highly doubt it.

Ya, know how the old saying goes, "Screw Me Once, Shame On You, Screw Me Twice, Shame On Me!" Well that is where we are America. I think we are probably on Number 10 or something though. We continue to let it happen again and again. If the Democrats win, the Republicans won't cooperate. If it is the other way around, the Democrats won't cooperate. Like Maroon 5's song, "Is anybody out there, it's getting harder and harder to breathe?"

When President Obama campaigned and promised "Change", I really think his intentions were to enact big changes. The Republicans/Tea Partiers had different ideas. They were still mad George screwed up so badly and all they had was McCain and Palin. I also think that with the idealist thinking, many politicians have, they don't realize what the other side has in mind. They don't see the fight that is coming.

From the start of the last Presidential elections, the "Tea Party"(the racists of the U.S.) have fought every action, every decision that is out there. Before the November 2010 elections, the Democratic Congress hurried to cram every political action they ever thought of into the sessions that were left. They passed many of the things that President Obama wanted. He got his "Health Care Deal" passed earlier in the year as well.

Many things "changed". However, there were and are many things that haven't changed. Both sides are still trying to stick waste in bills and special privileges for their states and their cronies. Many things are changing and are not changing for the better.

The Libyan issue, the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, the jobs issue, the economy and other things. There are many things that are trying to get changed, but it will not be for the better. Things such as the wealthy tax cuts, the revamping of Medicare and Social Security issues and help for poor people. Same ole Republican/Tea Party tricks.

As we have seen in the "RESULTS" from the 2008 elections and then from 2010, IT AIN'T ABOUT US! It never has been. It is about "POWER" & "CONTROL"! The Tea Party came in promising they would get the government under control and stop the "bullshit" that has gone on forever. Yea, OK! They have been there since the first of the year, it is almost May and all they have accomplished is giving the rich more money in the name of creating jobs, which it hasn't, and hurting the people who can least afford it.

They haven't solved the BP oil issues, they haven't solved anything that would have "HELPED" the American public. But crazies like Paul Ryan and Michelle Bachmann, can continue to stand on TV and look as crazy as they sound. They really think Americans are totally stupid! They think they will blindly follow them because they sound historic.

Now, the real nuts are beginning to come out in this next bid for the White House. Donald Trump with his bad comb over and investigators in Hawaii, Mitt Romney, Haley Barbour, Tim Pawlenty, and Lord only knows who else will pop up as time goes by. Sadly a man like Donald Trump, who has millions of dollars and appears to be a big success, is almost a Sarah Palin, all over again. When he is asked important political questions, his answers make you think, WTF!

Mitt Romney wants to change America. He appears to want us to change our religions and all become Mormons. He has been helping promote the religion, since the last Presidential elections. Haley Barbour, the 63 Governor of Mississippi, documented to be the most racist state in the country, wants to bring his "southern" way of thinking to Washington. Tim Pawlenty is another Jimmy Carter, only Republican. So, what are we doing? At least, President Obama is TRYING to get stuff done. Will he be in a stalemate for the next 1 1/2 years because of the Tea Party/Republican Party?

The BIG SHOW in the November 2010 was touted to be the voice of America. They said, it was going to show Washington what the people really wanted. Well number 1, it was not a blow out for the Tea Party/Republicans. Secondly, they have done absolutely nothing since being in Washington, except scare Americans half to death and create gridlock. So what did they really accomplish from all of the "HOT AIR" before the elections? Nothing...absolutely Nothing!

We are going back into that same cycle of "Crap TV" for the 2012 elections. Are they going to spend the next 1 1/2 years, trying to figure out if President Obama's birth certificate is valid or if the Democrats have given up enough stuff? The Tea Party/Republican Party is an overwhelmingly lost cause. I am all for fair government and everybody speaking their mind. So if the Tea Party is going to be separate from the Republican Party, they should think differently and have different ideas.

The truth about the Tea Party is, they are the more extreme branch of the Republican Party, but they are Republicans! They say they are going back to thinking like the forefathers. There are women, like Michelle Bachmann that totally support and stand with the Tea Party. But, the forefathers, wouldn't allow women to be involved in Government. They didn't let them vote or anything. There were NO black people in the forefather's plans. The way they run the Government was like the "good ole boys" network. Is that what America wants?

Does Michelle Bachmann even have the sense to know that? Do any of the women who support the Tea Party realize what the "TRUTH" is about our forefathers? Maybe less talking trash and looking stupid and more reading would benefit many and help them realize that even though, "Tea Party" sounds all historic and cool, it is really a very antiquated way of thinking. America is regressing instead of progressing.

The elections are coming and I dread them because, I know the only thing that will be accomplished is much rhetoric, many FOX news lies and a 1 1/2 years of NOTHING GETTING DONE. So as we progress into this next election cycle, we can be sure that America will be put on the back burner, AGAIN, so these clowns can spend money and make promises they will NEVER keep. We will spend this time, still getting screwed by Washington and then when it is over, whoever emerges victorious will spend the next 2 years fighting with Congress and still getting nothing done. Then it will be time for the 2016 elections and the fight starts all over again.

It seems that as long as Washington is more concerned with winning the next election, and is not spending time trying to direct and fix America and its many problems, we will continue on our downward spiral to a bad economy and the middle class and poor getting screwed.

The Republicans did not have any answers for the entire 8 years Georgie was in office. As soon as the elections came around, they had all the answers. With the sprouting of the Tea Party, they surely have all the answers this time, sort of like Nov. 2010. NOT! They are taking America backwards. They are bringing untold shame to America. The Wisconsin issue and the Ohio issue is a great example. This is America and as the Tea Party takes positions across the country, we are steadily losing our freedoms. They are taking us back 100 yrs and we are standing by letting it happen. Is this REALLY the direction, most Americans want? Hard to say! You have people who are retiring, carrying signs for the Tea Party, yet they are the ones trying to stop Medicare as we know it?

The race has begun though and we are destined to have to get involved. Is America going to let the Tea Party run the country and are we going to go back to what the Tea Party really stood for?

  • 2012 Elections have begun
  • Does Donald Trump really think he would win?
The Tea Party was against women's rights, women voting, and blacks participating in Government. Do the women of the Tea Party realize this?

I'm not ready for another election either. And you're right; our two-party system doesn't work. They all act so childish when they lose. It's shameful!

Rose it's SO NICE to see someone write sensibly about this for a change, instead of criticising Obama for this and that. I do believe that he came in with the intention to make a difference and to be a breath of fresh air, something that America needed desperately after the Bush debacle. But no, the Republicans as you said, were bad losers, and have done everything in their power to belittle the President and to undermine his policies. Many Americans are now so brainwashed by this that they believe the Republicans will save the day, forgetting who created the huge mess in the first place. It is a shame that politicians can't work together to make a country great, which is after all what the people voted them into power for. But no, they have to do everything to make themselves look good and the Democrats look bad instead. It really is a mess, and the last thing anyone needs is Crazy Palin in power.

    Food for thought.
