In today's automotive
world, three things are
not readily seen. And
they are: straight, square,
and forthright! However,
a Jeep will indeed bring
them to you!

And why would someone
have choose say a Jeep
Wrangler as his or her
daily driver as past Jeeps

have been known for, among other things: One speed windshield
wipers in need of testosterone; an inadequate heating system with all
the knobs falling off; a transfer case that could be oppositional defiant
about engaging 4-wheel drive. However, there was one small point
of note and this was that in the worst weather, when such vehicles
as a highway patrol cruiser, a tow truck, and a snow plow were in
a ditch, the Jeep somehow managed to get its driver home safe and
sound. And that was the old Jeep.

And what about the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon? Well. the Jeep
has indeed changed since Ronald Reagan's first term. And what
will it offer you today and tomorrow? Well, to start, it is nimble
in traffic and it offers excellent outward visibility. Furthermore,
the front seats are comfortable and the interior is durable.

The 3.8-liter V6 engine offers 202 hp and it provides adequate
performance in any kind of driving conditions including off road.
The front brakes are disc and the rears are drum and they do a
good job of stopping the durable Jeep.

And as far as the driving experience on the highway? The ride
and wind noise are close to the modern SUV. The Jeep is stable
as it weighs 4,200 lbs. The ride is a bit harsh but the comfortable
seats make the ride acceptable. And why would you choose the
Jeep for your daily driver? Because you will sit up high and can
thus see everything on the road. Furthermore, the Jeep is built with
purpose and simplicity.

Many of today's vehicles help their driver to lead a very mundane
life. Regarding 50 percent of the vehicles on the road, do they really
differentiate one driver from another?

So, although the Jeep is not perfect, it is well built, more refined than
in the past, and it will continue to get you home safe and sound in even
the worst weather. And when you drive a Jeep, you will indeed know
that you are your own man or woman. And that is really not a bad
thing at all! The Jeep is square, straight and forthright.

Concerning the Jeep, Car and Driver says, "It's a fitting instrument
to transport a free people of a free nation with the respect to which
we are entitled and the dignity that we deserve." And with
road repair funding likely to be cut, how might you counter?
With a vehicle such as a Jeep that can stand up to it!

The current Jeep has the dignity and toughness that you deserve -
