Anderson Cooper is in Egypt reporting on the continuous chaos in that country. Today Anderson Cooper and his crew were attacked by Mubarak supporters as they were walking through Tahrir Square. CNN producer, Steve Brusk, tweeted, "Anderson said he was punched 10 times in the head as pro-Mubarak mob surrounded him and his crew trying to cover the demonstration."

Anderson Cooper can be heard in video footage saying, "I've been hit now like 10 times and the Egyptian soldiers are doing nothing."

Cooper and his crew were trying to get to a neutral zone between pro-Mubarak and anti-Mubarak protestors when they were attacked. After the attack Cooper tweeted: "Got roughed up by thugs in pro-Mubarak crowd..punched and kicked repeatedly. Had to escape. Safe now."

CNN has no plans of removing Anderson Cooper from Egypt after this harrowing event. But according to Tony Maddox, executive president of CNN International, they have given Cooper the option of having extra security.

so this liberal, anti American, muslim lover got it handed to him by his own? Good. I can only hope it still hurts. How will he spin this? Will he say they confused him with Sarah Palin?
Obama completed the Carter mission. Because of his great foriegn policy skills, Egypt and three other allies fall over there. Just as Carter did with Iran (weve seen how that worked out). Now we are much less safe, oil up, food and goods up (70% of all goods pass the suez canal) and we have no allies. "dreams of his father" all coming true.
