Cuomo dropped by the Brown Memorial Baptist church to let you know he cares about you, Clinton Hill. He even "assured churchgoers that he would restore their faith in government and help those struggling financially," reports the NY Post.
Perhaps he does care about you, Clinton Hill, perhaps not? Perhaps he just swooped down on your "hood" in an attempt to snag some votes so he can get what he wants, the governorship?
So, should you vote for Cuomo?
The Reverend H. Carl McCall says you should. He has a long political and business career that includes a letter controversy in 2002, according to Biographicon. McCall said on Sunday, "So, I want you to go from here and spread the word through this community that Andrew Cuomo is our candidate. He will help us to stop this unfit person from becoming governor. And he will become the kind of leader that represents what we need." reports the New York Observer.
The "unfit person" McCall mentions is, of course, Republican candidate, Carl Paladino. McCall also referred to Paladino as a "racist" and warned, ""And unless we do something about it, that dangerous person can become a leader in this state."
McCall officially endorsed Cuomo a block away from the church in a sweet photo-op.
Given its church location and warnings, I get an "Angel vs. Devil" vibe from this whole endorsement gig. Could that be what Cuomo was going for?
Paladino, that little devil, is going for something, too. He says he's going to take a baseball bat up to Albany to clean the House of corruption.
Paladino's going to bat and Cuomo's going to church. Who gets your vote, Clinton Hill?
