I am used to the stares,
the angry glares
and being given the evil eye
But I have found it better
to always be myself
than to choose to live a lie
My world is colored
in various shades of gray
and I am used to it being that way
I embrace ambiguity
and the freedom it holds
as my life unfolds each day

Post a CommentExcellent poetry. I agree with Abby. :-)
The Doctor is "In" on this poem!
I can relate to this poem, thanks!
I much prefer a life of shades of gray which helps me to think, decide, and grow...choices. With the black and white approach everything is easy and decided, and this makes it much more difficult to discover the world around and within us.
Great message, nice poem!
Lovely poem, Jamie.
