Andy: What Now My Love?

You Don't Know What it Means to Be with You.

Ada Liel
Dear Andy:

First of all might I say Merry Christmas doll. Sometimes I think of the Christmas party in New York. Sometimes I think about the Janney wives. Remember what they said when we were hired? :

"Andrew if your wife calls here, your girlfriend will be fired. So make sure to choose your mistress wisely. Don't worry though, we've hired a ringer. A "Mrs. Ricks."
"But Bettina's not married granddad."
"Of course she is. She's twenty-five years old. Almost twenty-six. We don't hire single stockbrokers here. My friend David has known her since she was seventeen. he said she's a stone cold fox. So how is it she's not married, Andy?"
"Have you been drinking granddad?"
"Don't be disrespectful. Are you my nephew or my son-in-law or my grandson? Remind me."
""I'm whoever the fuck you want me to be, just gimme a job."
"OK. Here's the deal. The both of you have to get married. Not to each other. This is a BlueBlood firm after all. We have appearances to keep up."
"Alright. I think we need to effectuate a divorce first."
"Good Andy. City Hall's just three blocks away. Go do some research over your lunch break and see what's what with this girl. Get yourselves divorces before there's trouble. Philadelphia's not New York where anythong I mean anything goes. Forget your days at Chappie. Forget your quarterbacking days. It's time for you to grow up. You're 29 after all. This extended childhood the both of you have going? Totally inappropriate."
"I don't even like this girl. I just am not following you."
"Go upstairs and send John down. He'll marry her. He's likes getting married and he'll be single in a couple of weeks. Three to be exact."
"Isn't he your Son-in-law?"
""Who cares? She'll get over it. I like having him around anyway."
"This isn't a family business. It's not a fiefdom"
"The hell it's not Andrew. Don't Be Disrespectful"
