The call to worship had begun.
A crack of thunder made me turn
To see the doors blow open wide.
A mighty rushing wind blew in;
In the lightning I could clearly see
A man in tattered clothes step in.
A glowing light around him shone
As he knelt and prayed until he rose.
A kind soul offered alms of love
He took the gift and gazed above.
He placed the gift in the offering tray.
"I have plenty." I heard him say.
Right on cue, the doors opened wide
And the man with tattered clothes
Vanished before my eyes.
I can't explain what happened there
Such an occurrence is very rare.
Maybe it was an angel
Who caught us all unaware.

Angels are indeed around us. I wouldn't still be here if they weren't.
We can never be sure if those we meet are angels - we should treat each person as important
Wow, so beautiful!
Cool poem. Sorry I haven't been back to comment lately.
A wonderful poem! Well done!

I love this. Angels are dear to my heart.
Beautiful. My angel has had her hands full with me recently but she never left my side. I felt her there. This is my first day trying to sit up and read since my illness. Hang in there with me. I'm still a bit weak in the knees but I will try to keep up.
