To try to tell you how I feel;
I tried so hard to win this fight;
The loss of you has become too real;
I close my eyes and say a prayer;
I tried to shut you out of my mind;
Life has been so hard without you here;
Pain is all that you left behind;
I wish I had told you from the start;
I wish that you could be with me;
I feel the heavy weight of my heart;
Tell me, why did you have to leave?
Yet even now I know you are here;
I can feel you all around me;
A special guardian angel dear;
That is what I have come to believe;
Hold me close against the dark of night;
Until the dawn of the morning sun;
I will be better in the rays of light;
When the new day has just begun;
