Angela Lansbury was just named the Honorary Chairwoman of Career Transition for Dancers, a non-profit organization preparing dancers for careers outside the arts. Angela Lansbury is an English actress and singer and winner of five Tony Awards and Six Golden Globe Awards.

Broadway World reported on Angela Lansbury being named Chair of Career Transition for Dancers. The organization was founded in 1985 and has helped over 4,300 dancers make the transition from dancing into other careers.

Angela Lansbury is best-known for her roles as mystery writer Jessica Fletcher in the television series "Murder, She Wrote." The series aired from 1984 to 1996, making it the longest running detective drama series in television history. Angela Lansbury was also nominated for eighteen Emmy Awards. Angela Lansbury made her first film appearance in the movie "Gaslight."
