Angelea Preston Escapes Elimination and Dominique Reighard Goes Home on "ANTM" Cycle 17, Week 10

Dominique won the challenge last week and Shannon Stewart was sent home. Luckily for Laura Kirkpatrick, this meant she was safe and able to remain in the competition. No doubt, fans would have been angry, had Laura been sent home.

Laura Kirkpatrick, Allison Harvard, Dominique Reighard, Lisa D'Amato, and Angelea Preston are the models remaining.

Week ten of challenges have pitted each girl against the other as Miss J. Alexander ask them to judge each other. When asked who the girls felt didn't deserve to be there, Dominique named Angelea. The other girls agreed that Angelea was talented and beautiful but was lacking in confidence. Angelea was angered by this of course, but I think it was really intended to be to help her out - to some extent. That and since none of the other girls would name a weak link, Dominique felt compelled to be the one to be honest, like the challenge asked for.

Miss J. warned them ahead of time that in the modeling industry that being able to take and receive constructive criticism is a must. When Laura schools you, just know you deserved it. Plus, if Angelea doesn't get her confidence back she will be going home. This experience would help her if she makes it through.

According to the score cards where they voted on best runway walk and best star power, Allison was voted as the weakest. I'm positive they think this because they know she is hard to compete against and she naturally poses easier than they do. Yes, jealousy.

Voted the strongest model was Laura Kirkpatrick. Lisa D'Amato said behind cameras that of course everyone voted for Laura because they don't feel threatened by her. Again, jealousy is rearing its ugly head. Laura really is the strongest one there.

In Greece they had a photo challenge with a beautiful scenic landscape. They got to duplicate ancient goddesses and Greek Olympians.

Laura, Allison, Lisa, and Angelea were deemed safe.

Who went home?

That means that Dominique was sent home. She gets to go home to her husband and children. She will be missed!

Next Week:
The models get directed by Tyra Banks and Angelea has a one on one with Tyra. She tells her if not for the competition "I don't know where I would be." Much as you kind of don't want to believe her, you just do. My heart bleeds for that girl. Honestly, I haven't been rooting for her, most of the time, but Tyra did the right thing by keeping her and she does grow on a person. I hope Angelea can find the comfort she needs in this world.
