Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Deflect Book's Rumors

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are together and happy according to the tabloid that offered contradictory reports a few weeks ago. Back on November 13, US Weekly offered up not-so flattering stories from Ian Halperin's Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelin Jolie.

Back then, the tabloid towed Halperin's party line about constant fights and break ups but now the tabloid gushes about how happy the two seemed at a recent event. On Monday night, the pair attended a late night party to celebrate George Clooney's latest film Up in the Air.

"Brangelina seemed happy together," a paty goer tells US. The tabloid says Brad and Angelina were "inseperable" all night and constantly held hands. That's a far from Halperin's a

Helperain, who researched his book for five years, writes that the couple has broken up "so many times it would make your head spin." He even declares that they'll be done for good by 2010. So what's the real story?

Who knows but I doubt it's Helperin's take on the super star couple. According to the Huffington Post, the book is full of factual and time line errors.

One section of the book insists that Brad and Angelina were in love while filming Troy.

The source says, "they were definitely in love" while Brad was working on the flick.

The problem with that story is that Brad filmed Troy in 2003 and hadn't met Angelina yet. The same insider is also Helperain 's source for the stories about the couple's fractured relationship. That kind of sloppy writing doesn't bode well for validity of the book .

This isn't the first time that Brad and Angelina have faced down a book about their romance. Former bodyguard Mickey Brent shopped around a proposal about the couple earlier this year.

Brad and Angelina fought back, insisting that Brett has signed a confidentiality agreement. That proposed volume didn't make it very far.

Brad and Angelina's attorney Marty Singer reputed the book's content and accused Brett of being a pathological liar. Brett refuted those charges and said that his ghost writer actually shopped around the book without his consent.

I doubt we'll ever see a real life account about the couple written by anyone but Angelina and Brad. Maybe one day they will.
