Siblings Consider Themselves Orphans After Mother's Death

Angelina Jolie and her brother will split $1.2 from their mother's life insurance policy.

Marcheline Bertrand died in January of after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Jolie and her brother James Haven were named co-executors of of their mother's estate. In additional to the policy she left three grandchildren, Maddox, Shiloh and Zaharah a $100,000 each. Jolie adopted Vietnamese orphan Pax Thien after her mother's death.

An attachment in Bertrand's own handwriting claims ex-husband Jon Voight owes her $180,000 in alimony.

Haven has said that he and Jolie consider themselves orphans since their mother's death even though theirfather is sill alive

"Now that our mother has died we're two orphans, Angie and I, so she has a deep understanding of the orphans she adopts."

According to Haven, Voight was a hard man to please.

"I have no memory at all of my mother shouting at me or at my sister but I do have horrible memories of my father and the way he behaved. He was so tough on our mother."

Haven also maintains that his father was not a very good good parent.

"He lived in the same town. We saw him around Christmas time or at school recitals. He was always around but he never did his job as a father. He also says, "There were times when our father was awesome but my biggest memory is that he would look more to our faults than to our strengths, and that's what was so hard."

The Hollywood super mom has been sticking close to home since Pax's adoption. Jolie took home 3- -year-old Pax Thien from a Vietnamese orphanage in March. At that time Jolie announced that she would stay home with her children to help her newest son adapt.

She has recently been seen spotted shooting a St. John's ad because contractual obligations. According to IMDB Jolie's next film project is set to begin in mid to late 2008.

Jolie and partner Brad Pitt are currently in their Malibu home while he wraps his latest film, The Curious Life of Benjamin Button.

The superstar couple, dubbed Brangelina by the media, met on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Anniston.

Unconfirmed rumors suggest that Pitt has put a halt to family expansion while they bond with their latest addition.

    I don't think she needs the money and as charitable as she is I see her donating it to a good cause in her mothers name. Great article!
