Angelina Jolie Changes Son's Name

Angelina Jolie has filed papers to add partner Brad Pitt's name to that of her newly adopted son.

In late March, Pax Thien was whisked away from Ho Chi Minh's Tam Bihn orphanage amid a bevy of paparazzi. Pax Thien, whose name means peaceful sky, was abandoned after his mother gave birth in a local hospital. He was placed at the orphanage with hopes that his birth parents could be found. After the search proved futile the little boy was made available for adoption. He was the first and only child recommended to Jolie for adoption.

Jolie adopted the child as a single person because Vietnam does not allow unmarried couples to adopt. Pax will now have the same last name of his siblings, 5-year-old son, Maddox, from Cambodia, and 2-year-old daughter, Zahara, from Ethiopia and Shiloh, born to the couple last May.

About her new son Jolie said, "You can imagine what courage it takes to be in all new surroundings with new people and a new language. He is very strong."

People magazine was alleged to have paid $2 million dollars for Pax's first official photos. People has denied they paid that amount. The Jolie-Pitt's donated proceeds from Shiloh's first pictures to charity.

The paper's were filed amid much speculation that the couple was set to split. Last week Pitt and Jolie denounced rumors that they were headed for a trial separation.

In a statement Pitt's Publicist said:

"There is absolutely no trial separation."

"As a matter of fact, Brad and the kids are traveling to Prague to be with Angelina while she films her movie. Then they are both going to Cannes to promote Ocean's Thirteen and A Mighty Heart."

"After that, the whole family is going to Los Angeles for the premiere of Ocean's Thirteen and then to New York for the premiere of A Mighty Heart ."

Angie's manager, Geyer Kosinski released similar statement stating that Pitt and Jolie are "together" and "very happy".

Jolie and Pitt costarred in the blockbuster film Mr. And Mrs. Smith. Soon after filming ended Pitt separated from his wife Jennifer Aniston. Later that year he took up with Jolie. The two have said they plan to adopt more children.
