Angelina Jolie Dumped by St. John's Knitwear

After three years, Angelina Jolie is being dumped. Brad Pitt may not have come to his senses but fashion mogul company St. John luxury knitwear have. The believed to be deliberately overexposed actress was simply more than the label could manage. With Jolie's main campaign to keep the media focus on herself and her very highly publicized life little was left for the highly respected fashion company. St. John's years of respected reputation had come under question from the minute they hired the dubious actress. Jolie never one to shy from horrendous amounts of media attention is now reaping the backlash of overexposing ones person life ala "Bennifer's." Bennifer's much like Brangelina both mystified and horrid the public at the same time for years until they also parted ways. Jolie's overexposed personal life too like the "Bennifer's" reads like a train wreck waiting to happen.

The official statement from the highly regarded St. John's luxury knitwear giants confirmed that their parting ways with Jolie was due to the fact that Ms. Jolie's fame "overshadowed the brand." CEO Glenn McMahon spoke to Women's Wear Daily explaining that the decision to replace the notorious for seeking attention actress was not personal. McMahon said the decision to bring in a replacement model was more for the future of the knitwear label, "We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes and cleanse the palette." "We needed to show a modern point of view of St. John," McMahon continued, "We have evolved." Jolie's focus continues to be split between overexposing her children and, of course, the rather tainted relationship with then married Brad Pitt.

Jolie has been highly criticized for offering her children up to the highest bidders in the past for millions alleged to be for charity. However, no one quite has seen any indication of where and how the money is being spent or what charities if any are in receipt of the massive amounts of funds acquired over 3 years. In 2006, stories surfaced in the media alleging Jolie of charity funding negations due her own failure to met humanitarian pledges she made to a small Cambodian charity formed in the name of her first son Maddox Jolie. There seems to be no end in sight to the consequences of overexposing ones personal life above and beyond the duties of merely promoting the career.

Fortunately, St. John's have happily replaced the dubious actress with a more stylish and suitable British Supermodel named Karen Elson. The flaming red head model is the perfect fit for St. John's knitwear. Elson is very well respected in the modeling world as well as the fashion industry. The pairing of these two very mega fashionable stars for the luxurious world of knitwear is a match made in knitwear heaven. St. John's could not be more pleased to say the least. Elson is married to rocker star Jack White of the rock band "The White Stripes." Elson and White met on a video shoot for White Stripes song called Blue Orchids. The lovely couple of two biological children named Scarlett, born in 2006, and Henry, born in 2007.
