Into the rolling shadows
My voice trembled through the murk
In the black I sat alone
My heart sought solace in the dark
I called out to you
From this cold and dreary place
Praying for an answer to
Questions of life, love, and grace
And just as I surrendered
To the chill of despair
Your light filtered into that dark deep well
And love replaced my cares
It seemed to come from everywhere
And yet nowhere at all
Dispelling all my doubts and fears
Your sun flashed into my soul
Where light met the storm
The dark was overcome
As am I…
With a whisper it came undone
