Angry VIdeo Game Nerd Review

Brian Searls
First off, before we begin, I would like to say that I love AVGN. Ive seen all his episodes, I love Board James, I have all of the DVD's, etcetera. But, Ive been playing NES games for my whole life, but some games he reviews are actually pretty good. A great example is Simon's Quest. This game is actually considered to be better than the first and third games in the series. Even though he points out the flaw's, but there are many redeeming qualities. And I know that he usually takes games like this that have terrible flaws, and make them seem much worse than they are. The only problem is, most people cant seem to catch on to this, and they actually think the games are bad. I don't think this is fair, because people just dismiss these games as bad before even playing them. It makes me feel kind of bad that people don't even get to play these games.

AVGN has made James Rolfe extremely popular since 2006. Before that, he wasn't very well known at all. He made the site just to post his videos somewhere. Board James is an awesome show he also created, that is basically AVGN with board games. Monster Madness is also pretty interesting. I have to give James credit, he knows his media history, and he can recall it better than anyone I know. I think he also has some great opinions on some games, and he has some great points. If you've never seen James in action, I would consider it. Its a comedy show, and is great to watch while playing a game on line, or to just watch. I think James should put some of his episodes on iTunes next, I think many people would buy his episodes. I bought all 3 DVD volumes of his, even though you can see it all free on his website, cinemassacre.com . In conclusion, James had a great Idea. I hope you go and check him out if you haven't already. Thanks for reading!

When I was a little kid, I got my NES, and ever since then, I've been gaming almost every day, and have played on almost all major gaming systems. I hope you enjoy reading my articles, and please share you...  View profile
