Anim8or is a great program to begin using when you talk about 3d modeling. It is free, first of all, and has a great online community filled with forums and tutorials to get you started. So, go ahead and take a look at anim8or.com. Download the program, and start it up. If you want a hands on jump start to the program, you can use the tutorial page to get started. You can begin anywhere from modeling an eggplant or getting into modeling complex hands. You can even take your models and animate, or "anim8" them and watch your creations in a motion picture of your very own.
With the program, as long as you make the models yourself, you can sell your product on the internet. The best site for this would have to be turbosquid.com. They offer a wide range on options to sell your model to other users of the site. You get paid for every time your model gets purchased, but turbosquid takes some of the profit. It is a great way for you to do what you love, and make some extra cash at the same time.
If you are a really advanced user when it comes to 3d models and games, you can even use your model in one of your games. I cannot promise you are going to make the next Call of Duty, but I can promise that you can enjoy the games you make even more knowing that your own work is within it.
With its own built in engine, anything is possible. You can export a texture map, so you can draw on it in paint to make your model come to life. You can clean it up instantly but subdividing faces, making it look less block like. The possibilities are endless, and the sky is the limit. Please go on and check out anim8or.com and download the program, and see for yourself!
Thank you for reading my guide, and have fun with anim8or! Please comment and show your friends this guide, and let them share the fun of anim8or.
