Animal Cells and Plant Cells, What Parts Do Animal Cells and Plants Cells Have

Plant Cells and Animal Cells Differ from One Another a Couple Different Ways.

Jennifer Moore
Animal cells and plant cells have different parts. However, plant cells and animal cells differ from one another a couple different ways.

What Parts Do Animal Cells and Plants Cells Have That Are the Same

1- Both animal cells and plant cells have a nucleus. The nucleus is the control center of a cell.
2- Animal cells and plant cells have a cell membrane that holds the cell together.
3- Animal cells and plant cells have vacuole, which is a storage space.
4- Plant cells and animal cells have mitochondrion, which is a cell energy processor.

What Parts Do Plant Cells Have That Animal Cells Do Not Have

1- Plant cells have a cell wall which is a rigid structure surrounding the plant cell. The animal cell does not have a cell wall.
2- The plant cell has chloroplast, which contains chlorophyll. The animal cell does not have a chloroplast.

Definitions for Living Things

1- Cell Wall

A cell wall is a rigid structure surrounding a plant cell. It is located outside the cell membrane and provides support and protection. An animal cell does not have a cell wall.

2- Bacterium

A single celled organism with no nucleus. A bacterium of a single cell with no nucleus could make you sick.

3- Protists

Protists are multicultural or unicellular eukaryotes that lack complex organ systems and will live in moist environments. Algae and tiny organisms living in water are call protists.

4- Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll is a green pigment found in almost all plants.

5- Vascular

Vascular pertains to or contains vessels, which circulate fluids. Plants with tube like structures up and down stems are vascular plants.

6- Classification

Classification is used to categorizing living things into categories or classes.

7- Nonvascular

Nonvascular contains plant tissue which water can move through. Moss is an example of nonvascular.

8- Fungus

Fungus feeds on organic matter. Fungus is an organism that absorbs food from dead organisms waste.
