Animal Facility Issues Urgent Plea for Help

The Bladen County Animal Shelter is asking for financial assistance due to overcrowded issues and because of so many dogs being dumped at their facility with no room to house them. (Source: Eagle's Den).

The agency has gigantic medical bills and has had the same rescue friend helping out over and over so they need additional assistance. All donations are tax deductible.

"We have had a rash of abused dogs in this county," states a rep.

The shelter is located at 506 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown, NC 28337 and the phone number is 910-862-6918.

Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society, a non-profit 501©(3) group (SOAPS), who works with four shelters to save lives and assist in other ways is asking for help with adoptions concerning the Lyons Shelter. Time is critical for eight dogs.

Paws n Claws is seeking to raise much needed funds for a pregnant Pit Bull Hound who was dumped and had to have an emergency C-section and now has 13 puppies. She has a $600 plus vet bill after being left at Chesterfield County, SC Animal Shelter.

Feral Friends of Dallas, TX will once again be sponsoring a water table at the Big D Marathon which takes place this year on April 10th.

"Last year our Crazy Cat People Theme won third place," said Krystal Yates, agency rep. "Not only will we receive a donation from the Big D Marathon for running the water station, but we will also have a chance to win prizes by being voted a favorite station by the runners."

Feral Friends will be manning Station #13 near mile marker 21 for the marathon and mile eight for the half marathon.
