10. Sewer Rat: In 1990, Bad News Brown was involved in a feud with Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Since Jake had his snake, Brown decided to bring something to use against the snake. His animal of choice was a Harlem Sewer Rat. The Rat first appeared in July 1990 and last appeared at Summerslam 1990.
9. French Poodle: Fifi debuted on Monday Night Raw on March 15, 2004, with La Resistance. Rene Dupree was drafted to Smackdown the following week, and Fifi went with him. Fifi was not Dupree's real dog. In fact, Fifi was portrayed by a different dog each week on Smackdown.
8. Maltese: Chloe is Torrie Wilson's dog. Chloe was given to Torrie by her then-husband, Billy Kidman, for Christmas 2004. She traveled with Torrie even before appearing on television. Chloe had her own move. The "Chloe Tush Push" debuted on January 2, 2006, when she rubbed her butt in Maria's face. Chloe even had her own superstar page on WWE.com for a little while.
7. Chihuahua: There have been two notable Chihuahuas in wrestling. Pepe was Steve McMichael's Chihuahua, and Pepper was Al Snow's Chihuahua. Pepe often appeared with McMichael when he was a broadcaster in WCW and when he was with the Four Horsemen. Pepper debuted in 1999 in WWE. Al Snow claimed Pepper talked to him. Big Bossman kidnapped Pepper and "fed" him to Al Snow.
6. Dragon: Like Bad News Brown, Ricky Steamboat was in feud with Jake Roberts. On Saturday Nights Main Event on October 4, 1986, Steamboat and Roberts had a match. To counteract Jake's snake, Steamboat brought a "dragon" to the ring. Steamboat won the match but was attacked by Roberts. Roberts tried to get his snake, but Steamboat got his "dragon" first and chased Roberts from the ring. On this occasion, it was a baby alligator. Other times, Steamboat would bring a "dragon" to the ring which was actually a monitor lizard.
5. Worms: On December 2, 2005, The Boogeyman had his first match on Smackdown. During his entrance, he ate live worms. Ever since, the worms have been part of the Boogeyman's gimmick. He will eat them, throw them, spit them, or whatever he needs to do to gross out or scare his opponent.
4. Macaw: Frankie was the macaw of WWE hall of famer Koko B Ware. In 1986, he began coming to the ring on the arm of Koko and would sit on a perch at ringside while Koko wrestled. Frankie was regularly seen with Koko throughout his WWE career. Frankie tragically died in 2001 in a fire at Koko's home.
3. Black birds: Sting, Undertaker, and Raven have all been associated with black birds during their career. Sting had a character based on the Crow movie and sometimes had live crows merged into his storylines. Raven has had live birds in some of his promos. I'm not sure if they were ravens or crows though. The Undertaker has had either a buzzard or a vulture accompany him to the ring on more than one occasion.
2. Bulldog: Matilda debuted in late 1987. She would accompany the British Bulldogs to the ring. She was brought into storylines with the Islanders. The Islanders kidnapped Matilda and were suspended until Matilda was found.
1. Snakes: Jake Roberts had storylines involving snakes continually throughout his career. He locked Ultimate Warrior in a room full of snakes. Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage were both "bitten" by cobras brought by Roberts. He actually had three that he named. Damien was his first one that came to the ring with him. Damien was with Roberts from 1986 to 1991. Earthquake "squashed" Damien, cooked him into burgers, and fed him to Lord Alfred Hayes. Roberts then revealed Lucifer, who was supposed to be Damien's bigger brother. In 1996, Roberts revealed his new Albino Burmese Python, Revelations.
Obviously, Jake Roberts's snakes had to be the No. 1 pick because they were the longest-running animals in wrestling.
