Animated Outdoor Christmas Decorations

If you are planning to decorate your yard with animated Christmas decorations, you should keep several things in mind. First, remember to draw out a plan on a piece of paper before going shopping. Keep in mind your budget, what theme you'd like (i.e., angels, Santa Claus, snowmen, etc.), and don't overdo it. The look you create outside with animated outdoor Christmas decorations should be a pleasure to the senses and not reminiscent of a busy runway at a crowded airport.

This animated angel from Target is decorated with mini clear lights and is a total of 1 piece. The angel moves as she plays the trumpet. It's made out of metal and plastic and is 36" in height. The animated angel costs $69.99 and is available online and in most Target stores.

LB International Animated Christmas Train - To view, click here.

You can find the international animated Christmas train from Wal-Mart for $189.99. This is a multicolored holographic base that's outlined with white lights. Santa rides the train, waves, and smoke pours out of the engine.

UL approved lights are used on the train which is made of a solid metal frame. It measures 36" H X 104" W.

This 6 foot waving Santa can be purchased from The Holiday Light Store. It sells for $285.00 and measures 74" H X 42" W. The Holiday Light Store strongly recommends adding a waterproof controller underneath any animated outdoor fixture. They sell waterproof controllers for $35.00, and these can also be found on the link above.

The 48" animated feeding doe comes from a store called Christmas Lights, Etc. It sells for $61.99. It is made of 140 clear lights, and the primary color is woven pearl.

This 6 foot tall animated waving snowman is made from white, green, orange and red lights, all of which are attached to a sturdy steel frame. The snowman waves his right arm. There are 450 UL non twist bulbs that are UL/CUL approved. The snowman is 4 foot in width. It sells for $719.95.
