The Doctor went on to say that no pills were found in Anna Nicole's stomach and that she may have suffered a natural death. With the recent death of her son, Daniel, the new birth of her daughter and the paternity suits that followed, many in the media took notice of Anna Nicole's possible depression, and "strange" behavior. With her sudden death a lot of speculation regarding suicide, or accidental overdose have circulated.
According to "The Insider" Smith fell and hit her head on toilet Wednesday evening, and the following day, feeling feverish, she laid down for a nap and never woke up. Anna Nicole Smith grabbed the spotlight in 1993 when she was Playmate of the year, and then as the "Guess Jeans" girl. Her marriage (and subsequent legal battle for an inheritance) to J. Howard Marshall was widely publicized. Other than a few film rolls her career seemed to be tapering off, and then she stared in her own reality TV series, became the spokesperson for "Trimspa" and began modeling again. Most recently she had been grabbing headlines with the paternity suit between regarding her daughter, Dannie Lynn Hope. Smith's passing occurred before the issue reached resolution.
Anna Nicole Smith was born Vicki Lynn Hogan in Houston, Texas. Throughout her adolescence she told people she wanted to be the next Marilyn Monroe. She seemed to achieve her dream in life, after her "Playboy" layout -featuring a blonde bombshell in a familiar white dress- the media called her the next Marilyn. Tragically, she continued to emulate her role model in death. Anna Nicole's, death at age thirty-nine, has been just has sudden, just as tragic, and just as publicized.
Hugh Hefner released a statement after her death saying, "I'm very saddened to learn about Anna Nicole's passing. She was a dear friend who meant a great deal to the Playboy family and to me personally. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and loved ones during this difficult time."
