Anna Nicole's Trial, What a Joke!

As anyone else who's been watching TV in the last few weeks, knows Anna Nicole Smith's trial for custody of her body has been flooding TV news channels and websites since. I personally don't care and as such why would anyone else?

She was the most eccentric and weird celebrity, often showing up on awards shows intoxicated or high, and let's not forget the Larry King show where she was very obviously intoxicated in some way. Yet despite her weird antics that so lovingly made her the butt of many jokes, it seems as though people, Larry King and CNN of course can't get enough.

I was brought to nausea while she was alive and having to hear about her child and it's paternity and all the other battles she so cleverly got herself into, and now in her death I again find myself reaching for the ralf bucket as I see this kangaroo court case unfold.

Today a verdict was made regarding where and who should get custody of Anna's body. She was said to want to be buried with her son in the Bahamas. I say let her, I mean hey, I'd love to go to the Bahamas so if that's where she wants to spend eternity great! Why is it such a big deal? If her mother cares so much why not make your priority your now motherless granddaughter and finding who is the real father.

To top off this serious, yet weird trial they go and hire the most unconventional judge available since judge Judy, who I believe would have made a better choice as she would have no doubt told the entire court how stupid this all is.

This judge speaks as though he is on whatever Anna Nicole was on during all those TV appearances. He has decided to award the attorney appointed for baby Danielynn custody of Anna's body. The judge stated he wants Nicole buried with her son in the Bahamas. Of course this decision didn't come without great theatrics and a long speech by him, which, didn't quite make much sense. He then broke down in tears, which added the icing on the cake of drama. I will not be surprised if his name comes up during next years Oscar nomination. It was no doubt a kangaroo court session. It reminded me of a horribly acted episode of law and order.

I was speechless during the entire court sessions as CNN covered it. I found myself laughing and shaking my head at every moment that the judge opened his mouth. He made a mention that his wife must not want him home, and I can't help but think it's because she probably doesn't ever get a word in edgewise. He was more dramatic then a drama queen, I think it was repulsive behaviour for a judge to exhibit during a trial especially one that is televised to this extent.

If I see his name come up for the next reality court show I'll know why he did what he did. I've never fell witness to this kind of proceedings in my life and I hope I never do again. What a moment for TV and of course for CNN who will undoubtedly be covering and talking about this for the next six months.

All I can say is I hope it stops soon cause I was sick of hearing about her before and I'm sick of hearing about her now. Sure it's sad she died but there is time to get over it and now would be a good time.
