Says Ball:
Filming is "easier because they're so comfortable with each other," Ball says. "And they really do love each other in real life."
As we head into season 2 of True Blood, this leaves us wondering what will happen with Alan and Living Dead in Dallas. This is the book where (SPOILERISH!) .... Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse begin to part ways as far as a relationship goes. Now with all of the hype surrounding the couple and their undeniable onscreen chemistry, will Alan make that diversion or will he keep them together for their own personal relationship, and the great onscreen dynamic? As a show's creativity head it would be so hard to give up a great onscreen romance like they have because it is so fueled by the off screen romance they are involved in.
Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse
I hope that Alan Ball stays true to the original plan in Living Dead in Dallas and keeps with what happens in that book relevant to True Blood. This is the book where you just begin to see the differences and the "humanity and error" that is in Sookie and Bill's relationship. No man, even vampire, is all southern ecstasy and perfect gentleman, all the time. Eric begins to tip toe his way into Sookie's life more and more, and Bill is no't exactly happy with it. Sookie Stackhouse may be blonde, but she is not stupid so this won't be an overnight (or book) process.
Alan commenting on Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer's relationship leads me to believe we will have some diversion from the book that the series is based on for season two. Alan really wants to play up what is going on between these two, maybe capitalize on it evevn? But hey, that might be OK , even movies sometimes have alternate endings!
