Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Finally Married

Us Magazine and the Los Angeles Times both report that True Blood co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were married on Aug. 21, 2010, after a nearly two-year relationship. The principal stars of the hit HBO vampire series met on-set, and their romance quickly turned into a real-life relationship. The two got married in California just off the beach.

After the two exchanged vows, Moyer was said to have jumped into the ocean off a pier as the scorching California heat made the weekend barely tolerable to be outdoors. Moyer has two children from previous relationships, and told Us Magazine that his relationship with Paquin is "about pure trust." Paquin is an Oscar-winning actress from New Zealand, and Moyer is British. Wedding guests brought purple-colored gift wrap, and included Elijah Wood.

Bennifer and Brangelina

Co-stars falling in love and eventually getting married are nothing new to Hollywood. Two of the most prevalent examples are four of the hottest stars in the business. Ben Affleck wed Jennifer Garner got married after meeting on the set of Daredevil. The same thing happened to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

So far, those marriages have worked in their favor, and only added to the mystique of all four of their careers as moviemakers and parents. Despite being human with arguments that can be made public, these two families do love each other and enjoy their company.

The difference between the Affleck family and the Pitt family is that Paquin and Moyer star in a television show. If their off-screen married life is going well, then the show will probably continue to be a success. I'm sure it helps the hit show that the two of them are in love with each other, so it should translate fairly well to filming as the two go through the perils and promise of a romantic relationship.

Sure, the two play a Twilight-esque role of a vampire and mortal caught between two worlds in the Deep South. While those aren't the best of circumstances, their chemistry is clear to see, and it is certainly one of the many reasons why HBO has a winner.

If True Blood is going to continue to turn on viewers week after week, at least they won't have to ask Moyer and Paquin to act too much out of their comfort zones. Perhaps the two of them can ramp up the steaminess in the already hot and humid Gulf coast. Kudos to the married couple, and may Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have a long and happy marriage.
