Annabelle's Candy Company: The Abba-Zaba and Big Hunk Bars

Chris Tidwell
Candy comes in all kinds of flavors shapes and forms, but that's what makes candy so much fun, and the people at Annabelle's candy company know all about the fun and interesting aspects of candy. Annabelle's has been around for years and in some parts of the country their candy is hard to come by, but you would be foolish to pass up an opportunity to try two of their most famous creations. The Abba-Zaba bar and the Big Hunk.

Annabelle's is known for their interesting candy creations and their two most famous candy bars are no different. Take the Abba-Zaba for example. The Abba-Zaba bar combines two very great candy flavors in one unique sweet treat. The Abba-Zaba is made up of a chewy taffy coating wrapped around a peanut butter center. You may have had peanut butter taffy before, but the Abba-Zaba combines the two a very unorthodox fashion, yet it works perfectly.

The Abba-Zaba taste great and will really give you something to talk about. Annabelle's taffy blend is the best tasting taffy I have ever had an the peanut butter used in the center of the Abba-Zaba compliments the taffy perfectly. One of the best things about the Abba-Zaba is the fact that the ingredients, for the most part, are not unhealthy. Many candy bars use a lot of chemicals but the Abba-Zaba has surprising limited number of ingredients, the only complaint I have in the way of nutrition is the massive amounts of sugar put into the bar.

The Big Hunk is another one of the famous creations to come out of Annabelle's candy company. The Big Hunk is a large bar of vanilla flavored taffy with sprinkles or crunchy roasted peanuts throughout the bar. The vanilla flavor of the taffy gives the bar a very smooth taste and the roasted peanuts are plentiful throughout the bar. Anyone who wants to try something different in a candy bar should really give the Big Hunk a try.

Another interesting thing about the Big Hunk bar is the two alternative ways to enjoy the candy. On the back of each bar there are directions for two additional ways to eat this famous creation. Number one is to slam the bar or hit it against a hard surface and break the hard taffy into little Big Hunk pieces. This makes for a very nice snack, and it's easier to eat. The other way however is my personal favorite, you take the entire bar and heat it up in the microwave for about 10-30 seconds, depending on your microwaves strength. This makes the bar a bit more pliable and chewy, and really brings out the true vanilla flavor.

Annabelle's has a lot more crazy and great tasting creations, and they can all be found on the companies main website www.annabelle-candy.com but the Abba-Zaba and Big Hunk are the greatest novelty creations. Candy lovers everywhere will enjoy both candy bars unique flavors and great taste.
