I purchased the Teriyaki Noodle Bowl which comes with Hokkien noodles, tofu, carrot, spinach, and teriyaki sauce. Since these are vegan friendly, there is no meat or meat products in these noodle bowls. There are other varieties available such as Garlic Scallion, Korean Sweet Chili, Kung Pao, and Pad Thai. Soup Bowl varieties are also available such as: Chicken Noodle, Hot & Sour, Korean Kimchi, Miso Soup, Thai Tom Yum, Udon Soup, and Vietnamese Pho. The Teriyaki Noodle Bowl was delicious and surprisingly, not salty at all. It had just the right amount of flavor. I thought, since these did not contain any meat, I would get hungry pretty soon right after. However, that was not the case. The noodle bowl was pretty filling for lunch. I would not recommend substituting dinner with this, because they it would definitely not be enough. This is more for lunch or a light snack.
These are very simple and quick to prepare. You simply add the dry topping and the noodles and a cup of hot water and cook it in your microwave for about 90 seconds. These come in inconvenient containers with sealable lids. What is great about these is that the container is primarily made from cornstarch which is better for you than plastic especially in contact with hot liquids. It is also better for the environment as is the cardboard wrapper that encloses it which is made with 100% recycled paperboard.
You can purchase them in a regular grocery store such as Albertsons and Safeway. They are also available in mass merchandise stores such as Wal-Mart and Target. They are also available in health food stores such as Trader Joe's and Henry's (where I purchased mine). I bought these on sale for 2 for $3 which is not bad for something that is all natural and good for you. Try them out fro yourself and feel good about eating something that is instant and yet still healthy for you!
