ABC News notes that police spokesman Officer Joe Avery told the Associated Press that he does not believe that the murder of Annie Le was a random act. Thus, one can reasonably conclude that the Annie Le suspect knew Annie Le (or knew of her) and may be anyone from a lab maintenance worker to a fellow student (or possibly even a Yale University professor.)
Regardless of who the Annie Le suspect is, if convicted of the murder of Annie Le, that person ought to face the death penalty. The person who murdered Yale graduate student Anni Le not only took her life and deprived her of all she was getting ready to contribute to the world (she was reportedly conducting experiments looking into the role of proteins in metabolic diseases such as diabetes - Annie Le might have helped find a cure for diabetes and other horrible diseases), but he has also destroyed the lives of her family and caused unimaginable pain and inconsolable sorrow to Annie Le's college sweetheart Jonathan Widawsky (a Columbia University graduate student), whom she was scheduled to marry Sunday on Long Island, New York.
One could convincingly argue that such a monster does not deserve to live.
Perhaps one of Annie Le's smart colleagues in the pharmacology program at Yale University could conduct research into finding drugs and or procedures that can help identity potential murderers? (Maybe there is a "killer gene" that has not yet been identified?) That way, people like the Annie Le suspect (assuming he is guilty) can be stopped in their tracks; they can be treated or incarcerated before they have a chance to destroy lives.
Wouldn't that be a wonderful breakthrough?

Post a CommentI doubt that Sharon knows Annie. There's a crosspost on NY Daily Times with exactly the same message under Linda 123.
Noone's perfect, Sharon. If you knew Annie, couldn't you come up with a good memory? This isn't the time to air her dirty laundry...we all have some, but the week after our murder, aren't we entitled to a little blind support and compassion for our families?
If you passed away, I don't think you would want someone to say these kind of things to them, true or not. There is so much bitterness in your words.
R.I.P Annie Le.
If you didn't have anything to offer her, she would treat you w/o respect or get passive agressive. Motivated and driven people are usually like this, I should have known earlier. She was NEVER afraid to do any of this becuase she was streetsmart, she had a gang of buddies and was somewhat intouchable. She had an extremely calculating personality. She always had a big smile to mask everything. She gave lots of backhanded compliments to people that had no power over her. She took this in stride and didn't think anything of it. people like the teaching assistants would NEVER believe this of her, thanks to her good looks and cheerful persona.

I dont mean any disrepect towards Annie. Nobody should EVER be murdered the way she was. I'm just trying to say that Annie wasn't the perfect person media keeps saying she was.
Collegues keep forwarding me links to news website discussing the Annie Le murder just becuase I knew her in College in New York. I will have to say, each of those emails concludes with, "pray for her, so was so kind, beautiful, and smart." What a wonderful person and a lovely soul etc etc.
I'll tell you the truth about Annie. She was nowhere NEAR as perfect as the Media sources describe her. Annie had this gift, she could read people's emotions and judge them really well. As a result, she cozy-ed up to all the professors, Assistants, people in power or people who might help her succeed. She was the genius brown-noser.
Talking with Annie you go the feeling she was always trying to discreetly size you up, if she felt you had something to offer her (even if it was to improve her social standing, to show everybody, especially the professors that would write her medical school recommendation letters, that she was well-liked) she would treat you nice.
If you didn't have anythin
I'm staying far away from college campuses. If they're not mass shooting, they're killing their lab partners. These are some evil people.
If she still has her organs, we can rule out the boyfriend.
Forgot to mention a suspect has defensive wounds. Imagine how brave Annie was to put up a fight. She was petite but she had the heart of a lion and the intelligence of a mensa member. She will be missed. RIP
This is a devastating reminder that evil exists in this world. Annie may be in a better place now (if such a place exists) but I feel so sorry for her parents, her fiance, her friends and other family members. God bless everyone affected by this horrible crime. They will find the monster responsible.
