The photography of Annie Leibovitz will be on display at the Atlanta High Museum of Art from now until September 9th, 2007. The exhibit is entitled "Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer's Life, 1990-2005," and contains nearly 200 photographs. The collection on display features Leibovitz's celebrity photographs, as well as, personal family photographs, and landscape photographs.

The world famous photographer who got her big break from Rolling Stone magazine in the 1960s has made a huge impact on both photography and popular culture. Some of the celebrity shots that can be seen in this collection are of Mick Jagger, a pregnant Demi Moore, Jamie Foxx, Robert DeNiro, Chris Rock, Al Pacino, George W. Bush, and Scarlett Johansson.

In the exhibition catalogue Annie Leibovitz describes this collection as a reflection of her life. "I do not have two lives. This is one life, and the personal pictures and the assignment work are all a part of it."

When the Atlanta exhibit ends on September 9th, 2007, the collection will move to Washington DC. There it can be viewed at the Corcoran Gallery of Art from

October 13th, 2007 until January 13th, 2008. It will then go to San Francisco and can be seen there at the Fine Museum of San Francisco from February 9th, 2008 until May 11th, 2008.

If you live in or will be in the Atlanta area during this time do not let the opportunity to see this exhibit pass you by. Make a day of it and grab a bite to eat afterwards. A few suggestions that are affordable and within walking distance of the High Museum of Art are, The Madison Grill, Rising Roll Sandwich Co., Fuego Café and Tapas Bar, Carolyn's Gourmet Café, and Houlihan's.

The admission for "Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer's Life, 1990-2005 is $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, $10 for ages 6-17, and children 5 and under are admitted free.
