Annual Holiday Chocolate Festival in Susanville, California
Nothing Says Christmas like All You Can Eat Chocolate!
Susanville, CA 96130
United States of America
Perhaps the best festival of the year is upon us and I wanted to make sure no one in Lassen County California missed out on this one. If you live near, or will be visiting Susanville, California this December you will be pleased to hear that our annual chocolate festival is fast approaching.
Each year the Lassen County Arts Council delights the senses of chocoholics with a chocolate festival. This year will be no different as local chocolatiers prepare for the flood of citizens with a sweet tooth.
With a huge variety of chocolate to tempt your taste buds the festival is sure to be, as usual, a huge hit. You are going to be delighted with everything from assorted truffles, and chocolate brittle, to everyone's favorite: Fudge! There will also be a chocolate fountain complete with foods to dip in it, what could be better than a fountain full of melted goodness?
Also scheduled to be available to participants this year is; Special music, a silent auction, and a raffle. The cost to take advantage of this delicious event will be $5, you will be given a plate that you can fill with all the chocolate you want to try. Yes, I said it...ALL THE CHOCOLATE YOU WANT for only $5! To get you even more excited about this event they are even offering an option of a to-go box which some filled with up to a pound and a half of chocolate last year.
The remaining chocolate after last year's event was donated to a local rest home, what a great way for our local chocolatiers to give back to the community! The event is also a great way for participants to support our local economy since all of the treats are made locally.
The event is a fundraiser for the Lassen County Arts Council (LCAC) and is scheduled to take place on Saturday December 5 from 3pm to 8 pm in the Hotel Mt. Lassen at The Lion and The Lamb. Its Uptown Susanville location offers easy main street access and can't be missed. The address for those who wish to travel to the event is, 28 S. Lassen Street (on the corner of Main and S Lassen).
Mark this one on your calendar and you might as well skip dinner that night, chocolate for dinner...Wouldn't your mother be proud?!
