Annual Job Quitting Day #3

Stupid Quotes by Not so Stupid People, Well Maybe

Michael Grisso
Before we get started I must apologize to my loyal readers for not keeping up with the Annual Quitting Day jokes and tidbits. I've been working a lot offline and its hindered my abilities to write as much online. So many have told me how they have enjoyed the first two installments I feel as though I must continue this ongoing trend and make you laugh so I can prolong your life at least 3 more minutes (so they say).

So many people love Alicia Silverstone, mostly guys, but maybe this is why after she filmed the movie Clueless she was quoted as saying, "I think that the film Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."

Who can forget good old Bob Dole and his aspirations about the Internet, "The Internet is a great way to get on the net." Can't stop with the letter B there when Britney Spears is lingering around being quoted saying, "I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada."

I'm sure everyone can remember supermodel Cindy Crawford and her take on models being like baseball players, "Models are like baseball players. We make a lot of money quickly, but all of a sudden we're 30 years old, we don't have a college education, we're qualified for nothing, and we're used to a very nice lifestyle. The best thing is to marry a movie star."

Oh I love this one, remember Decca Records back in the day that had this little known group of guys right in their grasp back in 1962, "We don't like their sound. Groups of guitars are on the way out." Someone had to get fired over that mistake. Can't let the D's go without a quote by Dennis Rodman after being asked if the Chicago Bulls team chemistry was overrated, "Chemistry is a class you take in high school or college, where you figure out two plus two is 10, or something."

Here you go ladies, anyone know who Emma Bunton is? If not she was or is again Baby Spice of the Spice Girls and after a session was quoted as saying, "I wish men had boobs because I like the feel of them. It's so funny - when I record I sing with a hand over each of them, maybe it's a comfort thing."

If you ever thought about trying to start a boxing career just ask ex-boxer Frank Bruno his take on it before you make your decision, "I was in a no-win situation, so I'm glad that I won rather than lost."

So imagine your a young student from London and you are excited to meet the President of the United States George W. Bush and your first question is, "What is the White House like?" and President Bush is quoted as telling the young student, "It is white." Never heard of Gib Lewis before but I'm glad I haven't after he gave a speech to a bunch of individuals in wheelchairs on Disability Day, "And now, will y'all stand and be recognized."

Herbert R. Mayes was in editor back in 1936 quoted as saying, "A period novel! About the Civil War! Who needs the Civil War now -- who cares?"
lol, this poor guy that's all I can say about him after he turned down the prepublication to serialize Gone With The Wind.

Then of course last but not least not everyone thought that smoking was bad for your health such as Dr. Ian G. MacDonald. Still trying to figure out who paid him to say, "For the majority of people, the use of tobacco has a beneficial effect."

I hope you enjoyed another installment of my Annual Job Quitting Day jokes and tidbits. Just for reference purposes I did not quote any of these people (for obvious reasons on some of them) and through research found the quotes on Amusingfacts.com if you would like to further your reading enjoyment of stupid quotes by not so stupid people.
