Anonyblog.com - Back from the Dead? 5 Reasons Why You Should Join the Debate

Lindsey Russell
If you haven't ever visited Anonyblog.com, it is worth checking out. In a previous article, I pointed out some issues with the site, namely that it is not appropriate for children (and it is still not) and parents have no warning when visiting the site. This article, along with vigorous debate, has stirred up quite the controversy. Here are a few reasons why you should visit Anonyblog.com and join in the debate.

1. Democracy and freedom of speech in action.

Anonyblog.com has become an interesting experiment in the boundaries of freedom of speech, as well as democracy. The administrator, who appears only to take action grudgingly, let's just about anything go. As a result, certain people have decided to try to take the censorship into their own hands. As you can imagine, there has been a resulting backlash. The point is that a true, open discussion of democracy and freedom of speech is taking place. While I may have been harsh in my previous critique of Anonyblog.com, it is simply due to concerns regarding pornography and access to the site by children. As of this date, the issues have yet to be properly addressed. Anonyblog.com offers a unique chance to be truly heard.

2. Get it off your chest.

Getting back to the essential purpose of Anonyblog.com (Get it off of your chest is its slogan after all), you still can go to the site and speak your mind anonymously. Whatever is on your mind, write it down. Just be prepared to put up with what the clans spew forth.

3. Pure entertainment value.

For a while, the clan had completely taken over and the site was full of disgusting nonsense that simply wasn't funny. Today, however, people aren't taking it. They are responding and getting a funny rise out of the clan itself. It is pure entertainment value. I was recently asked why I came back after stating in my previous article that I thought that the site was dead, and that I would recommend it to no one. Well, I kept hoping that something interesting would show up on the site. Sure enough, it has - and I keep coming back for more. You will too.

4. Anonyblog.com is a microcosm of the Internet.

If you read it long enough, you will eventually come across just about anything on Anonyblog.com. It is only a matter of time. You will find frustration, stupidity, love, joy, happiness, and so much more.

5. Make your views known.

Most people aren't fortunate enough to have a forum in which they can freely express their views. Fortunately for us lowly peons, Anonyblog.com offers us an effective forum in which we can express our opinions, no matter what they may be.

That said, there is one additional thing that you need to know. No matter what your viewpoint or subject, you can't have thin skin and be an active participant on Anonyblog.com. Be prepared for vigorous debate and to defend your beliefs. There are just as many detractors as there are supporters. The best thing about Anonyblog.com is that it is an experiment in free speech.

I really enjoyed reading this review and agree with you 100%. I hope it will bring new and ready participants to Anonyblog. I hope that I was not too harsh with you in previous comments but as you say you must have thick skin to survive Anonyblog. It truly is good to have you aboard whether we agree or disagree. I was just wondering, why the change of heart?
