Another Progressive Push to Take Over Our Health Care System

David C. Atkin
The well known economists in this country don't agree with the Obama health care reform plans, really all you have to do is look back in history, when was the last time the government done something this big and got it right, I can't remember even one time in the history of this country.

It seems that they want to get their hands in everything, yet we all know that more government control over the system is not the right answer, I think most Americans would agree with that, and this plan represents about one fifth of our nation's economy.

We're not talking thousands of dollars, or even millions of dollars here, we're talking about billions and possibly trillions of dollars, I realize that the temptation is overbearing for the house democrats, and progressives it's a lot of money to have control over.

There are other ways to solve this problem, I do agree that something needs to be done, but we didn't get here over night, and the powers that be won't create a overnight fix for the problem, it's not a simple issue to mull over, it effects the entire country not just a person here, or there the entire country.

I wonder if anybody has bothered to listen to the news, they have had people from England, and Canada on the news warning us not to let this happen, as they explain the things that happen in their countries, I really don't think we want it here.

Obama has said that he wants a system more like Europe, but most of the Europeans come to our country for health care, and they say that our system is much better then theirs, they have to wait in line for months at a time to get health care.

In this country if you have the means you can get health care as you need it, i don't carry health insurance, and I'm not a rich person, but I seem to have access to the health care system when I need it, I may have to make payments, but I can get things taken care of.

I don't think that I should have to pay for another person to get health care, nor should I be forced to carry health care insurance, the first thing here is that it's unconstitutional for anybody to tell me that I'll go to jail if I don't have health care insurance.

Nor should I have to pay for someone else to have it, because they don't want to work, or they got laid off work and lost their insurance, if they need insurance that bad they can find a way to get it, without the government taking health care over.

We are not a socialist country, and we don't need to add more big government plans to the mix, in the United States we believe that if you work hard, and put the time in you can be successful, this will happen without the government intervening in the situation.

We can fix this problem as a nation, not as a government, as the people of the nation we should all band together to make sure that we don't lose control of any more of our country, does anybody remember this statement, of the people, by the people, and for the people.

We need to return to that way of thinking, instead of this idea of letting the government do it for us, the more power we give the government, the less rights we will have, you don't get these things for free, everything the government does comes at a cost.
