When someone mentions Las Vegas, we immediately think of Sun, Sex and non stop Entertainment. I'm pleased to inform you that there is a far more serious side to "Sin City".

Every three minutes a jet liner lands in Las Vegas bringing hundreds of visitors to this city of never ending entertainment delights. Known for it's hundreds of Casinos, Strip (sorry 'Gentleman's') Clubs, Restaurants, Shows and Resort activities, few visitors are aware of the more serious side of this rapidly expanding metropolis.

According to Master Robert, chief craftsman, designer and instructor at Studio Royal's Academy of Glass Blowing, there has been an amazing interest in the art of glass blowing since the appearance of Siobhan Magnus, the remarkable young singer who came close to becoming 2010's American Idol. This 20 year old from Barnstable Massachusetts is of Irish decent and was a collage drop-out when she decided to become a Glass Blower apprentice.
Robert says that he faced a similar decision after finishing high school in Queensland, Australia. A local Glass Blower, Roy Saxon was appearing at a local shopping center and offered Robert a chance to try out on his torch. Roy was so impressed at Robert's ability to master the technique that he offered him an apprenticeship which lasted 8 years. Since then Robert has traveled the world teaching and demonstrating the art in Australia, England, China, Spain and finally the tiny island of Malta, before gaining his 'green card' and setting up his studio in Las Vegas.
You can see Robert at work and learn all about Studio Royal at his web site: http://studioroyal.com .
