Another Super Bowl Controversy!?

Snickers Ad: 'Offensive and Anti-Gay'?

Caryn Murray
On Superbowl Sunday 2007, there were no nipples shown (although half time performer Prince wouldn't have pissed everyone off so much if it were his nipples shown. Then again, there would still be some offended people.)

This 'freedom' our country is based on has absolutely been shot out the window! It doesn't matter what it is, anything can offend someone else and then it is a big deal. By this restriction, almost as bad as banning classic books like Huck Finn, I myself am actually pissed off and offended about something.

I find it bull that there is such a hard time given for gays to have the right to marry. I support their right 100%, because it shouldn't affect anybody but those two people who are in love. I find it bull that one person's opinion would stop those two other people from their own choices. The whole concept of all these disputes, the never ending drama!... it's so overdone!

There will always be some 'gossip', some opinion to be given. I think marijuana should be legalized. I am offended that this hasn't really been an option for America to vote on yet. I am pissed off that the standards for living requires two incomes... making it damn near impossible for this generation to ever get by, to get out of the poverty class. I am offended that while my husband busts his ass and lets me stay home with our baby, that means we eat Ramen noodles and yet there are crackheads eating steak dinners on my husbands money that has to be taken from his check every week.

Yes, there are many things out there that we should all express our offense and anger to. But to turn to a commercial?! How many people laughed at this? Doesn't it feel good to laugh? To forget all about those real things that piss us off everyday?

Now how many people saw this commercial, didn't crack a smile, and were actually pissed off about 2 mechanics ripping out chest hair after an 'accidental kiss'? Come on! What's next?! I can't even think of an example, it seems as though people are just looking for something to bitch about, to get their name in the headlines!
