The jackpot is the largest at the Tulsa casino since it opened in August 2005.
According to the press released issued by the casino, Michelle Gillette, 42, of Claremore was playing a MONOPOLY™ JACKPOT STATION slot machine, at about 2 a.m. for about 10 minutes when she hit the jackpot on a wide area progressive machine that's linked together with other machines at unrelated casinos.
The slot machine was introduced to the Tulsa casino that week.
Gillette said winning this jackpot came at the right time for her because her family has struggled financially. She said she plans to pay bills with her winnings.
"This jackpot will change our lives because believe me, it's been a stressful year," said Gillette, plant manager at Viking Packing in Tulsa. "Just getting rid of the stress is worth a million dollars to me."
Osage Million Dollar Elm casino Tulsa casino processes jackpots of $ 1,200 or more monthly or an average of 35 jackpots a day. Jackpot payouts range from $1,200 to $351,000.
