Answers to Your Questions About God

I always come across people saying that they have lost faith in God or God does not exist because there is so much suffering around. Some people also claim that they themselves are God.

What is religion? Religion is something which would connect you to God, answer all your questions. If your religion or faith is not able to do it, leave it.

Broaden your outlook. Try to know what other religions are providing. May be the answer which seemed bullshit to you before may actually start making sense.

I will not say that believe in my god or follow my religion etc... etc.... No, God is one, his names are different. Call him Jejovah, Krishna, Allah anything.

There is only one God.

Lets deal with the issue of suffering of people...

- God has given man intelligence and choices. God does not interfere. God does not dictate and is neither partial. We make wrong choices and suffer.

- If you plant a seed, it takes time for the plant to grow and then have fruits. So the action of planting the seed has already stopped. But the reaction i.e having fruits is due. This may take time or may be instant.

So if we do a bad deed, it's not likely that we suffer instantly, but our suffering may be at a later stage.

Now consider small children born blind or dying in a flood etc. One may think, did he get chance even to do some deed....forget about the bad deed?

The answer is that he did some bad deed in his past life. If you don't believe in past life, start believing or give some alternate theory. So the fruit of his actions riped in his next birth.

People say that they pray a lot and God does not listen to their prayers......

Now consider yourself a father of three sons. You would love each of your sons equally. If one son killed the other one..... What would you do? Won't you punish him? If you don't, wouldn't that set a bad example for the third son? Similarly we all are God's children. God has set some rules. We have to follow them, else we suffer.

Now what is a prayer actually? Prayer is not saying..God give me this....give me that. We are at God's service and not vice versa. We have to basically serve God. We get only what we deserve. So we should not ask God anything. We should only ask for forgiveness and God's love. But depending on our crime and our service, God may or may not forgive us. Serving God is a very vast topic. Why do innocent people die in an earthquake, flood or war, irrespective of age, gender, nationality?

This is related to mass karma (deeds). God places a group of people having same amount of good and bad deeds in a particular place. According to their past actions, they may die together in a flood, earthquake etc. This is one of the laws of karma.

Most of the time, we see couples in same situation, i.e either they face poverty or prosperity or any other situation together. God placed them together according to their past karmas or deeds.

Just like we change clothes, our soul changes bodies at every birth. We have to accept this. According to our deeds we may get the body of an animal, insect, human etc.

Human life is our only chance to break the cycle of birth and death and return to God.
