Anthony's Homeport on Shilshole Bay in Seattle - Great Sunsets and Fabulous Food

Kathrine Lloyd
If you are looking for a lovely dining experience in the Seattle area, consider visiting Anthony's Homeport on Shilshole Bay. Anthony's Homeport is perched at the edge of Seattle's Shilshole Bay and is a fantastic place to watch the sunset while enjoying a great meal. The west side of the dining room is covered with a large expanse of glass giving nearly every seat in the dining room a great view. There are clear lines of sight across Puget Sound to the snow-capped Olympic Mountains from almost every table. Fishing vessels, sailboats, and motor yachts can all be seen gliding by after passing through the nearby Ballard Locks. Gulls, Great Blue Herons, Harbor Seals, and the occasional Bald Eagle can be spotted from the dining room fairly regularly as well.

Anthony's provides great service and a very welcoming environment. It doesn't matter if you are in jeans and a sweater or dressed to kill, you'll fit in either way receiving outstanding service from Anthony's servers. While reservations aren't required at Anthony's, they are recommended and will keep you from having to wait on a busy night. Dinner at Anthony's Homeport on Shilshole Bay is served between 4:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday evenings and until 10 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Brunch is served between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sundays with dinner from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. There is ample parking and valet parking is generally offered during busy weekends.

I have never had a meal I didn't enjoy at Anthony's Homeport on Shilshole Bay in 11 years of dining there. Whether you enjoy steak, seafood, or a salad, it's likely you will enjoy a positive experience at Anthony's. My latest experience was with the Seafood Fettuccine and it was decadent! Anthony's has a varied selection of fresh seafood that changes with the season. The dessert menu also changes with the season and everyone should put Anthony's Peach Slump on their bucket list in the late summer-it's that good. Menu items range from about $8-$30 depending on your choices. While dinner for two isn't cheap, it's well worth the cost and you can't beat the view. Anthony's Homeport on Shilshole Bay is located at 6135 Seaview Avenue Northwest and their phone number is (206) 783-0780. Bon Appetit!
