Anti-Evolution Museum Coming Soon

$27 Million Project to Open on Memorial Day

Apparently, Adam and Eve were not in Eden alone. They had friends, those friends were none other than dinosaurs. Tyrannosaurus to be exact, and contrary to popular belief, he was a strict vegetarian. Dinosaur's of every kind were aboard Noah's ark as well.

At least that's what the Creation Museum claims.

The museum, set to open in Boone County, Kentucky is being built by Answers in Genesis, a non-profit group and is scheduled to open on Memorial Day. Kentucky tourism officials are expecting it to bring in over 250,000 visitors in it's first year. Without being open yet, the museum is already drawing attention with visitors such as CNN and news broadcasters from Europe, Australia and Asia.

The Creation Museum, which is based on a literal interpretation of the Bible, has drawn criticism from modern scientists, which have taken to calling it "The Fred and Wilma Flintstone Museum" say the message they are spreading is just plain wrong.

Ken Ham Answers in Genesis's president and founder says this is a large event for Christians, because no one has ever built a place that merges science and religion, specifically Christianity. Eugene Scott however, a former University of Kentucky Anthropologists says the information isn't even "close to standard science". Scott visited the museum as part of the British Broadcasting Radio Corp. but didn't tour. She did however see enough to know the museum isn't professionally done. This worries her. She doesn't want students in classrooms telling teachers everything they are teaching them is wrong, just because this fancy museum tells them it is.

Daniel Phelps of the Kentucky Paleontological Society feel it will embarrass the state because of its stance that evolution is the path to ruin.

So what exactly will the museum contain? Well, there are about 80 life like dinosaurs, some with move their heads and tails. Over 50 videos will be shown at it's exhibits, and a special effects theater with shaking seats as guests are hit with spurts of water. What is the opening act? An animatronic young woman struggling with her belief in God as two angels, which cannot be seen are on screen behind her. This, according to Ham is the only part of the museum that is 'lighthearted' and 'edgy'.

The museum also has a planetarium, but unlike other planetariums, this will show that the light of stars did not take millions of years to get here. Other exhibits include over 10,000 minerals donated to the museum from a collection, fossil dinosaur eggs (worth $40,000 according to Ham) and a dinosaur toy collection valued at $50,000. The Creation Museum also has an exhibit showing that evolution is the root of all of society's evils. It will show children leaving a church because their minister believes in evolution, only to have a girl on the phone with Planned Parenthood, and the boy surfing the internet for pornography.

The museum has already drawn international publicity and criticism, with Bill Maher stopping by and sneaking an interview with Ham, of which did not know who he was at the time.

I'm tired of listening to a purely evolutionary explanation of things!!! I believe that there has to be more to the explanation.

Thanks for the info on the Creation site in Kentucky. Sounds like something everyone should see. Hard shelled evolutionists will be furious but I suggest they demand proof of evolution.

If evolutionists want to end the arguments all they have to do is, get their brilliant heads together and assemble a 'simple' living cell. That should be possible, since they certainly have a very great amount of knowledge about what is inside the so-clled 'simple' cell.

After all, shouldn't all the combined Intelligence of all the worlds scientist be able the do what chance encounters with random chemicals, without a set of instructions, accomplished about 4 billion years ago, according to the evolutionists, having no intelligence at all available to help them along in their quest to become a living entity. Surely then the evolutionists scientists today should be able to make us a 'simple' cell.

If it weren't so pitiful it would be humorous, that intelligent people have swallowed the evoluti

I have mixed feelings about this idea. I dunno if I like it or dislike the idea of something that's basically based off of the Flinstones.
