Anticipated New Movies for 2011

With the start of each new year comes a bath of new movie releases to get very excited about. There are so many anticipated new movies for 2011, but the majority of them seem to be sequels for continuing chapters from previously released films. There's a great lineup of 2011 new movie releases. Here they are, in order of release date.

The Green Hornet - January 2011

History has proven that viewers really like their Superhero movies. With the new movie release of The Green Hornet, scheduled to hit the theaters on January 14, 2011, we're sure to see another big box office hit. Considering this film stars Seth Rogan, it's sure to have a lot of laughs mixed in with the edge-of-your seat action scenes typical of a superhero film.

Scream 4 - April 2011

It's been over 10 years since the last Scream movie was released, making Scream 4 is one of the most highly anticipated new movie releases for 2011. Courtney Cox-Arquette, David Arquette, and Neve Campbell return as the original three lead characters and are joined by a host of new young victims. Scream 4 is scheduled to be released April 15, 2011.

Hangover 2 - May 2011

The boys are out of Vegas for The Hangover 2, but things are sure to get just as crazy in this fun sequel to the original 'Hangover' movie. Scheduled to be released May 26, 2011, our favorite accident-prone guys find themselves in Thailand for yet another pre-wedding celebration.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - May 2011

Johnny Depp is back as Captain Jack Sparrow for this fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Scheduled to be released May 20, 2011, this is one of the most anticipated movie releases for 2011. In the newest installment, Captain Jack finds himself facing the infamous Blackbeard himself.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II - July 2011

This is the seventh and final installment of the Ha - Jrry Potter books, written by J.K. Rowlings, which is being released in two parts. The first part was released in November 2010, leaving fans on their seats until the final chapter is released on July 15, 2011. Being that this is the final chapter of the final installment of the book series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II is undoubtedly one of the new movies for 2011 that will pack in the most viewers.

Paranormal Activity 3 - October 2011

The Paranormal Activity movies have brought in not only a lot of money, but a large fan base, as well. With the release of Paranormal Acitivy 3 scheduled to be in theaters just before Halloween, there's no doubt that this new movie release will be HUGE! How huge? That's to be seen, but here's a little history on prior box office earnnings. The original Paranormal activity took in an estimated $ 183 million dollars (according to Bloomberg) worldwide, while the 2nd installment earned over $ 40 million in the first weekend alone!

Breaking Dawn - November 2011

Twilight fans rejoice! In the final Twilight installment, Breaking Dawn, viewers will finally find out if Bella & Edward marry, if Bella gets turned into a Vampire, what becomes of Jacob, and see how the escalating fued with the Volturi plays out. If Breaking Dawn follows suit to all the other Twilight films, it's sure to be one of the hottest new movie releases for 2011. This film is scheduled to be released November 18, 2011.
