Anticipation of the New Amazon Kindle 2!

I got the email from Amazon today that they launched their new Amazon Kindle 2! I was planning on getting a mini-laptop, anyway for school, and THIS surpassed my expectations and purchased this instead! It is also only $50 more than I was gonna pay for a mini-laptop so this is SO perfect!

Features I like:

-FREE basic internet AND browser! (service all over the US)

-Fufills my LIFELONG dream to hold a great book and NOT have it affect my carpal tunnel. For this reason alone, I will hug my Kindle when I get it!

-Can store 1,500 books

-I can read my textbooks on here instead of lugging really heavy ones back and forth to school

-I can place my ereserve articles from school on the Kindle and read anywhere (homework)

-Can take this to class and reference my articles or anything, including anything I write and want to store

-Free Mp3 player

-Option to read outloud to me any text! (oh so nice for those boring textbook days!!)

-A ton of sites for free or almost free ebooks for my Kindle

-So incredibly portable I can take ANYWHERE and enjoy a good book or do my homework, or surf the web!!

-Very durable and I have a warranty on top of that

-Screen looks like paper, easy on the eyes
