Antitrust

Angry Sar
I hope you didn't think I was dependent
just because I'd make you breakfast
and sort your laundry because you asked
and give in to you like nothing's wrong

And I hope you didn't think I was dumb
just because I'd wait for you to mature and come home
in the two hour wait I learned a lot
but I guess some will never understand love

I tried so hard to prove I did
And I want all I gave back
but I'm not rude enough to ask
I guess I'll have to learn

I learned to trust but not my instincts
that old familiar antitrust
And life is a survival test that
I failed the moment I trusted you

And other people don't change for themselves
unless other people slowly change them
They learn from their mistakes,
their clumsy, microtalented mistakes.
