Antoine Dodson Selling IPhone Apps: For Real! Homeboy!

Magnolia Miller
Sometimes it just pays to be dumb, really, really dumb. Especially in the United States of America where the capitalist system can make millionaires out of anybody - even Antoine Dodson.

I first heard of Antoine when my teen son played a video of him that had gone viral on Youtube. In the video, Antoine's sister had been the victim of an attempted rape. Yeah, I know, what's so amusing about rape, right? Well, nothing. But, what is amusing is her brother, Antoine Dodson who had a little message for the would be rapist.

Were it not for the fact that Antoine's sister didn't suffer any kind of injury and apparently no trauma whatsoever, the rest of the video might have fallen dead in the water. But, since we weren't laughing at something that was truly traumatic, well, you'll have to see for yourself, here.

Okay, so wipe the tears from your eyes and hear this. Antoine Dodson is now an Internet video sensation. TMZ.com ran a video story recently where Antoine was discussing his - wait for it - merchandising line. Yes, you read that right. Antoine Dodson is now an entrepreneur with his own Halloween costume and merchandise line.

But, wait. It doesn't stop there. Apple also snatched up Antoine Dodson to advertise sex-offender apps for the iPhone. For real. Antoine Dodson is now doing commercials. You can see his latest here.

Look, I don't know about you, but this is the kind of stuff that capitalism is made of. When a homosexual from the ghettos of Illinois can become a millionaire entrepreneur because of Youtube?

Where else? Only in America. Now, you go tell that! Homeboy.
