Ants Never Say Can't

Tiny Bug Parables

M.S.Medina
My three year old sighs and sits down on her butt
"I can't," she mutters under her breath.
So many new tasks still to be done
She can't accomplish them yet.

"I can't," I sadly think to myself
as I struggle through life filled with strife.
The whys and the wherefores
loom larger than life
I reach up and cry out to God.

The tiny ant struggles while pushing a leaf
It seems so much bigger than he.
He doesn't give up as he continues to push.
"I can't," isn't in his vocabulary.

The ant family gathers around the feast
Brought into the nest this great night.
The day had been long and the road had been hard
and the little guy put up a fight.

He pushed that huge leaf never letting it go
That option he hadn't been given
"I can't," is not in ant vocabulary.
and it shouldn't be for all of us livin.'
