When you combine the stress and toxicity together, the result, unfortunately, for a lot of individuals is anxiety attacks and panic attacks. When these attacks occur, it is our bodies letting us know that something is terribly wrong. Usually when the body lets us know things, lifestyle changes are in order to correct them. In regard to anxiety and panic attacks, the best way to correct the situation is through anxiety natural remedies.
Anxiety attacks are detestable things that can "pop up" at any time. If let go, they can ruin lives completely and overcome your entire being.
What's the best advice that can be given? Catch them early and use natural remedies to treat them. That goes against most advice though. The typical response would be: "go see an expensive doctor and let them prescribe even more expensive medication." Don't believe that lie. Believe it or not, you CAN do many things yourself and according to some, the anxiety natural remedies work miracles.
Anxiety attacks are the effect. Over-stimulation of the nervous system and parts of your brain is the cause. They get overloaded and irritated by our thoughts, feelings, and what we ingest into our bodies. Our nerves and our brain need relaxation time. When they do not receive it, the negative energy builds up to an explosive boiling point. It can be terrifying for some when that happens.
Now for some, just thinking about lifestyle changes makes them cringe but it doesn't have to be that way. The lifestyle changes we will be discussing are simple and easy to put into affect.
There are many anxiety natural remedies but to discuss them all would be beyond the scope of this article. That said, let's discuss four of the main ones.
1.) Eating:
In our fast paced society where fast, processed food like burgers and fries, what we get out of vending machines, and "comfort food" like potato chips, Twinkies, Swiss cake rolls, etc. are the norm, we have developed a very toxic and dangerous environment for our bodies.
What to do?
Relearn what to eat.
Minimize the alcohol and caffeine consumption.
Drink more water.
How much? It is different for everyone but a good guideline to go by is divide your body weight in half, and convert that to ounces. That is how much water should be consumed daily. You don't like water you say? There are many flavorings available to make water more palatable.
Eat more protein.
Protein is required for the rebuilding of positive neurotransmitters (serotonin and others). If you like, you can use a good protein powder.
Eat more veggies.
Veggies contain alkaline minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, and others). Ideally, eating them raw helps the most but eating them cooked is better than not eating them at all.
You can even try "juicing". Juicing is where you put vegetables and fruit in a "juicer". This automatically extracts the juice. If you do not have one, a blender will do.
2.) Exercising.
Let's face it, for most people, the lifestyle they lead is sedentary. Very rarely do they get fresh air, exercise, or sunlight. Oddly enough, when you get more of these things, it can help eradicate the anxiety and panic from our systems. Exercising has both an immediate and long term effect on your nervous system.
No, you don't need to go the gym. A regimen of daily walking in the fresh air is all it takes Take the stairs instead of the elevator. When you go to the store, park further out in the parking lot. Walking too difficult? Just try smiling while raising your hands and feet in the air.
3.) Relaxation.
When was the last time you truly relaxed? Not just sitting down, but having both your body AND your mind in a relaxed state? Both the body and mind need relaxation to help regenerate the cells.
What can you do to totally relax? There are several things but these are the most popular. Experiment with different ideas and choose the ones that work for you.
Yoga
Meditation
Deep breathing
Progressive relaxation
Hot showers
Cold showers
Saunas
Massage
All of these are mechanisms that help repair your nerves. So simple. Start right away.
4.) Deep Sleep:
Sleep is vital in any recovery process. The body and mind can relax and regenerate. Try and keep your sleep cycle the same, or as close as you can anyways. Need help falling asleep? Valerian root and chamomile helps.
