Any More Scared Dad's Out There

Ode to the Overly Protective Father's

Mr. Chip's

In the beginning their was "The Wiggles, and Boobah and Barney." Then came Raven, And Hannah Montana. Now comes Icarly, Fishhooks and Victorious, Degrassi and Big Time Rush. For this dad just too much for almost third graders. And it never stops. The noise, the hyper-activity. The lights, the colors. All that computer generated "jazz." Like the "Fresh-Prince" use to say "parents just don't understand." This is not the world of TV or movies I came from. I am lucky to catch real wonderful world of Disney movies or shows that are not out of print or in moratorium(lol). Then I get scolded that I am making a major issue out of nothing. Then what is "Fred" some juvenile delinquent that has his own movie and it is absolutely beyond horrible. I refuse to let my kids see it. And the book form partner in crime is this so-called "Diary of a Wimpy kid." It makes kids believe that they have to play in to this garbage. But don't! Let that stuff collect dust. Put the writers of that trash and the producers of the "fred" type trash out of business. It's not just entertainment. And speaking of that "Sponge Bob" the stupid movie. Of course their is enough trash and crap out their for all. Men, women, boys and girls. And it appeals to the lowest common denominator. Please don't sell out to it. Those in the boomer status that grew up like me. To respect your parents and tried todo the right thing even when no one was looking or any reward was to be gained. I welcome any feed back especially from the older baby boomers married with grade school or younger kids.
