Don't count out any one of the contestants out on American Idol this year. Although many believe that the next American Idol winner will be Crystal or Lee, history has shown that anything, even the unexpected, can happen on American Idol.

Each one of the contestants is already an American Idol winner just by virtue of the fact that they have come this far in the American Idol competition. Each one of them is a special person, with their own individual strengths and weaknesses as a performer. Imagine performing live week after week on the American Idol stage, with no re-takes or do-overs allowed. A difficult task, perhaps even for the most seasoned performer. Her performance was incredible, as usual, although the judges did not seem to like it. Crystal Bowersox always seems so comfortable on stage and makes it look so easy. Mike Lynch was saved by the judges several weeks ago. "We have decided we're going to see you next week," said judge Simon Cowell. A former personal trainer, Mike Lynch was born to be a performer. He has an amazing charismatic voice and puts on a great performance. Does Mike have enough popularity with the voters to become the next American Idol winner?

Lee Dewyze - Next American Idol Winner ?

Lee Dewyze, with his slightly rocker type persona, has a unique singing voice. His confidence level has been improving each week. Although the judges sometimes say his voice is pitchy, his performance of Frank Sinatra's "That's Life" was one of Lee's best and definitely the best performance of the night. Will Lee be the next American Idol winner?

Casey James - Next American Idol Winner ?

Casey James is rarely one of the judges' favorites of the night. However, they did like his rendition of "Don't", a song recorded by Shania Twain. Casey James, an extraordinary guitar player with a great singing voice, is also the most good-looking of all the contestants this season and very popular with the voters. If he has some truly remarkable performances in the next few weeks, can he become the next American Idol winner?
